  • After Breakfast in Palash Residency, Bhopal, the tour will depart for Sanchi.

  • Sanchi-(42 km from Bhopal) : It is a World Heritage Site declared by UNESCO which consists of Stuapas, monasteries, temples and pillars (3rd century BC to 12 century AD). The sites to be viewed are – Great Stupa no.1, 2 &3,  The four gateways, The Pillar, The Buddhist Vihar, The Great Bowl, The Gupta Temple and The Museum. The Great Stupa, is the oldest stone structure in India and was commissioned by the Emperor in 3rd century BC. Its nucleus is built over the relics of ‘Buddha’. The Sanchi Stupa built during Mauryan period was made of bricks.


  • After sightseeing Tour will enjoy delicious lunch at M.P. Tourism’s Gateway Retreat, Sanchi and will depart for Udaygiri.


  • Udaygiri – (10 km. from Sachi) It means the 'mountain of sunrise', and best known for rock-cut sanctuaries and images excavated into hillside in the 5th century CE which are under the protection of ASI. It is believed that the iron pillar at Delhi originally stood at Udayagiri and inscription on the pillar shows that Udayagiri was called ‘Viṣṇupadagiri’ ('hill of Viṣhṇu's foot-prints'). The caves were reworked under the patronage of ‘Chandragupta II’ and ‘Kumargupta’ and are notable for its ancient sculpture of Vishnu, in his incarnation as the boar-headed Varaha, rescuing the earth as described in mythology. Udayagiri has a series of rock-shelters, ruined buildings, inscriptions, water systems, fortifications and habitation mounds. After this the Tour will proceed towards Bhopal (58 km.).

  • Tour will terminate at 5:00 p.m. at Hotel Palash Residency, Bhopal.
